Did I sign up for this? Well, I guess--maybe

Seeing how we’ve had 4 or 5 straight days of below freezing temps in the morning, I decided to put anti-freeze in the campa’s water system this weekend, and put it away for the winter. Half way through the project, I looked up to discover that it was snowing! It’s snowed off and on most of the day, and we’ve picked up an inch or so of wet snow. We drove into Anchorage, and it was mostly rain there. The weather service said the snow was only at elevations of 300 and above, and so at 1800 feet, we got hit.

I expect it will be gone by tomorrow, but it sure was an eye opener. Snow in September! I was led to believe it would be at least another couple of weeks before I had to start shoveling my driveway…. Fortunately, both Cecelia and I had brand new studded snow tires put on our vehicles this past week! Looks like it was not a moment too soon.
